1.
Nadia: Well, we actually knew each other “just
socially” for about three/four years. After a
while we started dating but the actual relationship
started when I called him up to invest in some stocks.
Then we started talking about other stuff too. Later
he made a deal with me that if he doubled my money,
I would have to take him out to dinner. He did his work
well and I also kept my word.
Atif: We were introduced by some common friends and
would meet socially once in a while before she called
me in January 2003 regarding some investments and we
started talking regularly.
2. Nadia: No, it wasn’t. Because I had no intention
of dating him, I never even saw him in that sense. I
do not believe in love at first sight. At first sight
there can only be lust and wanting.
Atif: No, I don’t believe in love at first sight,
but for us it was definitely attraction at first sight.
Nadia: To me love is about lots of understanding, friendship
and trust.
Atif: Love is lots of understanding and mutual respect
while being best friends too.
3. Nadia: I think at least on that day you should take
out the time from your daily routine to make your partner
know how you feel about him/her. It would be ideal if
this could happen every single day but if not, then
at least we have one good, solid day to do that.
Atif: Meaningless. How can one choose just one day out
of 365 to express their love? It should be a lot more
often than that, but we all fall for it and end up celebrating
it.
4. Nadia: Well, he gets me flowers and I give him some
kind of a present and then we go out to dinner.
Atif: Dinner, roses, gifts etc. etc… Hopefully,
I will get something in return too!

1.
Aijazz and Sabeen: A chance meeting at a family wedding.
Aijazz’s sisters introduced us.
2. Aijazz: No, it wasn’t love at first sight but
I believe in that notion.
Sabeen: No, there is no such thing as love at first
sight.
3. Aijazz: Love is a bond. A very strong bond of emotions
and feelings.
Sabeen: Love is not just love for your partner but it
comes in several forms. It is something that gives meaning
to this entire universe.
4. Aijazz: A day to celebrate with your loved ones and
express your feelings by exchanging gifts and flowers.
Sabeen: It is a day to cherish and celebrate.
5. Aijazz: A romantic dinner with flowers and chocolates.
It is the best way to express you love and emotions.
Sabeen: I would celebrate Valentine’s Day with
roses, ribbons, sweets and candles all around and everywhere.
